Neighborhood Network News: 11/14/17

We begin tonight with new details on immigration enforcement around local courthouses. According to the Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights and Economic Justice, the federal crackdown has targeted areas around courts in East Boston, Roxbury, Dorchester, Brighton and downtown Boston.

State officials are taking steps to begin the reconfiguration of the Mass Turnpike in Allston. The change will streamline the Pike and open up land for new development, possibly with new open space near the Charles River.

The state also plans to speed up bus service in Roslindale. According to Universal Hub, the Department of Transportation's developing a plan for a dedicated bus lane between Roslindale Square and Forest Hills Station. The lane would be reversible, with traffic signals favoring buses.
