Our top story: one teenager killed, another injured in a South Boston shooting. The shooting happened a little after eleven p-m on O'Callaghan Way, in the Mary Ellen McCormack public housing development. Police say the victim who was killed was sixteen years old.

A ribbon-cutting took place this morning in Chinatown for fifty-one units of affordable housing.
The condos are located near the Rose Kennedy Greenway, on formerly vacant land.

Boston School superintendent Tommy Chang's facing criticism over information about the handling of student activity funds. School Committee members say they should have been notified about problems with the funds before yesterday's report by the Boston Globe.

Boston City Councilor Josh Zakim has announced he plans to run for Secretary of State.
Earlier this month, Zakim was re-elected as the district councilor for the Back Bay, Beacon Hill, West End, the Fenway and Mission Hill.
