We begin tonight with a break for Boston police officers charged with stealing thousands of dollars in overtime. According to the Boston Globe, felony charges for two officers were withdrawn at secret court hearings overseen by clerks.

Drivers in East Boston are faced with more gridlock approaching the Sumner Tunnel, despite the elimination of toll booths. The booths were eliminated last year, to be replaced by electronic toll-collection.

Parent leaders are making a new push to increase state funding for public schools.
According to the Boston Herald, the demand was sent to Governor Baker on more than one thousand letters and cards written by parents. The campaign was organized by the advocacy group Stand for Children Massachusetts.
