Our top story: headmasters at two Boston high schools placed on temporary leave. Over the past ten days, Superintendent Tommy Chang gave notice about the headmaster of West Roxbury Academy, Rudolph Weekes, and the headmaster of Brighton High School, Robert Rametti.

The M-B-T-A's trying to reverse a growing problem with canceled buses--and absent drivers.
The number of canceled trips was cut back two years ago, but the rate increased by the end of last year to more than two and a half percent.

More candidates are competing for office in this year's election. Recently announcing her candidacy for Suffolk County district attorney is Linda Champion. She's worked for the D-A's office as a district court prosecutor.
