Our top story: Mayor Walsh plans new investments in public safety, including two million dollars for body cameras. The city plans for cameras to be permanently adopted by police after the end of June. The new budget has more funding for street workers and other violence prevention efforts.

A twenty-seven year-old man was fatally shot late Saturday afternoon in Hyde Park. According to the Boston Globe, Geraldo Lerouge was shot after driving one of his sons to the home where he lived on Frazer Street.
