Our top story: a racial divide in the system for student assignments in the Boston Public Schools. According to the Boston Globe, a new report shows there much less access to high-quality school for students from Mattapan than for students from neighborhoods that are predominantly white. State Attorney General Maura Healey's raising concerns about the proposed merger between Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Lahey Health. According to the Globe, she's concerned the merger would saddle other providers with a larger percentage of patients covered by Medicaid. People in Boston will have more chances to cast their votes early in this year's final election. Early voting will take place October twenty-second through November second.
