Our top story: the hush over money for Boston's former school superintendent, Tommy Chang. In a recent closed session, the School Committee approved a payout of three hundred thousand dollars--roughly half the amount for the remaining two years of his contract. A twenty-six year-old man from Boston was arrested yesterday in connection with a fatal shooting in Roxbury. Ira Harrison faces murder and weapons charges. He's accused in the death of a twenty-nine year-old man from Dorchester, Christian Rivera. A serial rapist will have to spend at least eleven more years in prison for three attacks on women in Boston. The attacks by Alejandro Done took place in Cambridge, at J-F-K -- UMass Station and the Charles river Esplanade. The city's considering a new historical feature at Faneuil Hall: a memorial Boston's role in the slave trade. A recent grassroots campaign has put a spotlight on the hall's namesake and original donor, Peter Faneuil.
