We begin tonight with new dangerous new trends in fatal drug overdoses. The state department of Public Health links ninety percent of the fatalities with the synthetic opioid, fentanyl. According to the Boston Globe, recent figures show more fatalities involve fentanyl mixed with cocaine than with heroin. Four men face gun charges after separate incidents over the weekend. At midnight on Sunday, a fifty year-old man was arrested at Blue Hill Avenue, near American Legion Highway. The city has converted a piece of surplus roadway into a new plaza in downtown Boston. That means a place to pull up a chair and get some shade on a part of Franklin street known as the Tontine Crescent. Interview with State Representative Liz Malia.
