Our top story: victory for young people in Jamaica Plain and Roxbury. Just before a protest this afternoon by teens from the Hyde Square Task Force, owners of the T-D Garden reached an agreement with the state.

Officials are taking the first step toward a new expansion plan for the convention and exhibition center in South Boston. According to the Boston Globe, the convention center authority has issued a request for proposals from planning consultants.

Witnesses from a T-V production company pressured by the Teamsters Union testified yesterday they feared the loss of city permits. Four members of the Teamsters Union are charged with extortion, in their attempt to have their drivers hired for a local production of the T-V show Top Chef.
