The annual Boston Greek Independence Day Parade commemorates Greece’s march to freedom, which began on March 25th, 1821. The Boston Greek parade route is from Boylston Street to Charles Street, and ended at Boston Common with a lively celebration of Greek music, a showcase of Greek traditional dance troupes including the Boston Lykeion Ellinidon, and Greek food vendors. The Grand Marshals were His Eminence Metropolitan Methodios of Boston and the Honorable Mayor of Boston, Martin Walsh.
